Product information “RiceLein” Grain-free energy balancer RiceLein is a low glycemic index energy balancer to improve low energy rations. Due to the protective gastric properties of flax seeds, it is particularly suitable for horses with a sensitive gastrointestinal tract. By reducing starch and sugar, it can also be given to horses with muscle problems such as PSSM, ligation and cross-over or horses with PPID (Equinem Cushing Syndrome). Since RiceLein is not further mineralized, it is suitable as a combination with any staple food. Low starch and sugar content, gluten-free with high energy density For horses with muscle problems such as PSSM, ligation and crossover For sport horses that already receive large quantities of concentrate containing cereals For the gentle feeding of lean horses For horses sensitive to cereals and indigestion (stomach problems!) Suitable for feeding horses with PPID (Equinem Cushing Syndrome) ENERGY SUPPLIER FOR SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS There are situations where horses rely on low starch and low sugar feed. This includes not only cereal intolerance, the tendency to excessive acidification and stomach problems, but also the metabolism and muscle problems that can be triggered or exacerbated by taking too rich rations. This includes type 1 polysaccharide storage myopathy (PSSM). PSSM is a genetic defect in carbohydrate metabolism. The horse shows the clinical appearance similar to a cross chest. Symptoms range from repeated gait irregularities (without an orthopedic problem) to muscle tremors, reluctance to move, muscle stiffness, sweating and even immobility. Horses affected by PSSM depend absolutely on the correct feeding and management of the breeding, otherwise they can be ridden only to a limited extent or not at all. The change in diet is of particular importance, because a cereal-free diet with a low starch and sugar content is recommended. The combination of fermentable fiber, oil seeds and seedlings offers the ideal addition to the euuration. Grain-free feeding is also recommended for horses with gastrointestinal problems in order to protect the gastrointestinal tract.
