A lack of biodiversity

The reduction in the biodiversity of plants found on our pastures today means that horses are no longer able to meet their natural requirements in vital nutrients, such as essential oils and essential trace elements, by eating herbs. The susceptibility for respiratory problems can be a sign of an unbalanced feed ration or a diet deficient in herbs.
This increases the risk of bacteria and other pathogens becoming lodged inside the air-carrying organs with the result that the lung is no longer able to absorb tough mucus, dust, moulds and bacteria. The susceptibility to respiratory problems even increases with many horses during shedding.

Natural nutrients for respiration

Tea and spice herbs are especially rich in natural essential oils that are extremely important to keeping a horse’s respiratory system moist and clean. Some of the rarer trace elements, such as are often contained in certain herbs, also contribute to the detoxification, thus stabilizing the immune system. The selected range of different herbs in Mucolyt upgrades the daily feed ration and supports the natural cleansing of the respiratory tract.
